My Famous Husband

Check out my famous husband! This BIG ad ran in this week's newspaper promoting the United Way's Community Campaign Kickoff. He got to do a whole photoshoot! Craig is a member of the Atlantic Circle, a group of young professionals that donates their time and talents to children in the community through mentoring. They love him so much that they chose him to be the face of their campaign! I have the clipping on our fridge displayed proudly, and word has it that he will be on a BILLBOARD soon! He is also featured in their TV commercial! Way to go, babe!

My Rising Star

Last Thursday night Craig and I attended an awards ceremony for the Florida Public Relations chapter here in Jacksonville. It was a lovely dinner at Maggiano's (and we left Porter with a sitter for the first time!). It was nice to have an evening out with just the two of us. After dinner they presented him the Rising Star award! Here is the speech that the President gave before giving him the award...

THE RISING STAR AWARD IS GIVEN TO A MEMBER WHO EXHIBITS INCREDIBLE POTENTIAL WITHIN THE CHAPTER AND THE PR FIELD. THIS YEAR’S RECIPIENT IS NO EXCEPTION. Sorry this is a little late, honey, but I wanted to be sure to tell you, my sweet husband, how much I adore you, and how the last three years have been the best of my life. You are such an amazing man, and continue to get better and better through the years. I am so blessed to have you as my husband and as Porter's daddy. You have amazed me in your abilites as a husband and a father. You are the most dedicated man I know, always putting your family first and being concerned with our needs above anyone else's, including your own. I appreciate your hard work on our behalf.
Thank you for loving me in such a complete and amazing way. You have been such an important part in my life for so long, I absolutely could not imagine going even one hour without you here with me. I love you more that I could ever express, and I really am loving you more and more every day.
